Zengcuo’an,located in the southeastern part of Xiamen,is an attractive tourist destination with a blend of tradition and modernity.With a history of over 500 years,it was once a berth(停泊处)for merchant ships during the Ming Dynasty.The area played a significant role in maritime trade,providing shelter for ships docking at Zengcuo’an.One of the historical landmarks is the Fort,established in the Qing Dynasty as a naval garrison(海军驻军)and home to a famous Krupp cannon(克虏伯大炮).
