ESP教师角色、挑战及发展对策

摘要 经过了60多年的发展,专门用途英语(ESP)已经成为语言教学的重要组成部分,相关理论研究和实践教学不断丰富。由于ESP教学的专门性特征和学生需求导向,教师充当的角色呈现多样性,任务富有挑战性。然而在ESP几十年的发展中,教师培养一直滞后于教学实践,是一个被忽略的环节。国内外ESP教师培养都存在学历教育项目少,在职培训项目形式不够丰富的问题。教育管理部门和高校应从教师需求和教学实际出发,在教师培养机制和模式等方面拓展渠道,创新发展。 During the last 60 years,English for Specific Purposes(ESP)has become an important part of language teaching and there have been more and more researches and practice in this field.Due to the specificity and student-orientation of ESP teaching,the roles of ESP teacher are diversified and their tasks are challenging.Teacher training has always been a neglected part in ESP development,well legged behind teaching practice itself.Problems exist at home and abroad in terms of the number of degree programs in pre-service teacher education and training forms for in-service teachers.It is suggested that both education administration and institutions of higher learning should innovate in terms of teacher education mechanism and methods starting from the needs of teachers and the reality of teaching,so as to meet the evolving need of teachers and the society.
