In the era of low-carbon development,environmental monitoring and protection are facing many technical challenges.The application of geographic information system(GIS),genetic technology and intelligent sensors has improved the efficiency of ecological restoration,but it has also brought new problems such as big data management and ethics.Global ecological and environmental problems need to be jointly addressed by the international community.The United Nations and other international organizations should promote technology sharing and experience exchange,and promote the improvement of global environmental monitoring and protection.This paper reveals the scientific and technological challenges of environmental monitoring and protection and the importance of international cooperation under the background of low carbon,and provides enlightenment for building a sustainable environment.
