Chinese American speculative fictionists,represented by Ted Chiang,have,in recent years,accumulated a huge cultural capital and gained global attention.In their works,there are wonderful fables and profound metaphors but also deep thoughts on the relationship between human beings and technology,the most unique and brilliant parts being that these works seek to subvert the entrenched imperialist narrative from within the structure of sensibilities of imperialism.Chinese American speculative fiction demonstrates its own unique narrative voice and political position by exposing the geographical violence premediated by the imperialist narrative in the dimension of space,sharply criticising the racial politics in the imperialist narrative in the dimension of time and actively constructing the future vision in a non-imperialist manner.
