Directors Yan Fei and Peng Damo introduced the origin of the high-grossing comedy Successor in the interview,and explained some of the comedic techniques used in the film.They believe that comedic creation requires genuine emotions to connect the absurd with reality,and that“cute accidents”and“satirical elements”are indispensable parts of comedy.However,at the same time,it is also important to convey warmth and a sense of happiness.Regarding the heated debate over the parenting methods in the film,the two directors believe that the switch between the perspectives of parents and children is intended to make both sides understandable and empathetic-winning over the majority of the audience has always been the market target of the two directors.
