Life cycle analysis(LCA)is widely used in the analysis of building carbon emissions, and has formed an analysis method for new buildings. However, for existing retrofitted buildings, there are problems of poor applicability and inconspicuous characteristics.By analyzing the life cycle assessment standards, life cycle carbon emission analysis requirements and the carbon emission characteristics of existing buildings retrofit, this paper developed a life cycle carbon emission analysis method of existing buildings retrofit.A calculation formula of carbon emission reduction based on the whole life cycle of buildings retrofit was then proposed. It further discussed the analysis method of retrofitting investment recovery from the perspective of carbon cost, and verified the analysis method, carbon emission reduction volume and the recovery balance point of the retrofit carbon increment based on actual case. This study can provide a reference for the carbon emission analysis and benefit assessment of the relevant standards of the existing buildings retrofit, and provide a technical basis for the carbon emission reduction analysis of the existing buildings retrofit project.
