With the continuous improvement of the level of science and technology in China,3D digital technology has played an increasingly important role in the creation and ceramic art and design.It provides new possibilities for the development of ceramic art and also brings new challenges.Taking the teaching of ceramic art and design in higher educations at home and abroad as examples in recent years,more people choose 3D digital instead of traditional manual production,which increases the form of ceramic art education in the new era,and improves the creation efficiency.This paper introduces some domestic and international application cases of 3D digital technology in ceramic art and design teaching and creation,affirms its unique technical charm has injected new vitality into ceramics.The paper analyzes the influences of this technology on the contemporary ceramics design and education and its impact on the traditional ceramics production,further discussing the combination facts of 3D digital technology,algorithm and digital generation,and exploring the impact of digital tools on the field of ceramic art in the new era.
