Judith Wright is an active environmentalist with a high sensitivity to environmental protection, adept at breaking down conventional biases against plants and focusing on the relationship between humans and nature. Many images in Wright’s poetry are inspired by the natural scenery and flora of Australia, such as the acacia tree, phoenix tree, and cycad tree. These tree images with Australian charm are not only trees that carry the poet’s emotions, but also“flesh and blood”trees, reflecting Wright’s ecological ideas and creating a space for the poet to fully express her ecological thoughts.Starting from the concept of literary space, this article delves into Wright’s depiction of trees, uncovering the underlying consciousness of life and exploring the dialectical relationship between humans and trees.
