This article summarized Professor Wang Pei's experience in the treatment of ovarian cancer based on consolidating therapy.Professor Wang Pei believes that the etiology and pathogenesis of ovarian cancer stem from blockage in the lower energizer, leading to the internal generation of cancer toxin and loss of consolidation.Liver stagnation and kidney deficiency and healthy qi insufficiency result in production of cancer toxin, which develops to ovarian cancer. He identifies liver stagnation and kidney deficiency as the fundamental pathogenesis of ovarian cancer. The main pathological factors contributing to the formation of ovarian cancer include external cold,dampness-heat,blood stasis, and phlegm retention. The critical aspect of the development and progression of ovarian cancer is the loss of consolidation due to cancer toxin generation.Based on the theories of“dispersion”and“loss of consolidation”,Professor Wang Pei proposes the consolidating therapy for treating ovarian cancer. This approach aims to consolidate and stabilize the tumor to prevent metastasis, combined with methods to expel toxins and eliminate cancer poison.Additionally, the treatment involves nourishing the kidney, soothing the liver, and consolidating healthy qi as the fundamental principles.Professor Wang skillfully uses insect-based drugs and pays attention to protecting the spleen and stomach, resulting in significant clinical efficacy. An exemplary case is provided at the end of the article as evidence.
