Electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction into high value-added chemical products is one of most important technologies to achieve the strategic goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.In this article,we interpret the policy of carbon peak and carbon neutrality,explore the advantages of electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction technology,analyze the cost factors of this technology,and summarize the progress of electrolysis devices for this technology.This article provides a comprehensive understanding for researchers to understand the carbon peak and carbon neutrality policy,and points out the research direction for the development of electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction technology.
