摘要
新时代,外语教育应有新的发展理念和新的发展格局。“外语教育学”作为一门学科,目前在国外虽尚无定论,但在我国,因应国家外语能力提升之需,其已作为“外国语言文学”的二级学科,得到国家认定。其学科定性已在外语界产生较大影响,也为全国近170万大中小学外语教师提供了一个具有学科属性、学科地位和学科身份的“安身立命”之所。该如何使我国外语教育事业乘势而上出新思,开新局,踵事增华向未来,这是摆在我们外语界面前的一项新使命,也是一项新担当。我们需要深度思考其立意,自主创生真正切合我国国情、教情、学情的外语教育学,培养国之外语大才。我们应依归初心,临在当下,授以未来,强化“教止于技,育行于魂”的理念,为国创设高效培养高质量外语人才的新格局。
In the new era,Foreign Language Education Studies(FLES)should embrace new development concepts and a new development paradigm.While the FLES discipline remains inconclusive internationally,it has been officially recognized in China as a second-tier discipline under“Foreign Languages and Literatures”to cater to the needs of national foreign language competence improvement,exerting significant influence within the field of foreign languages.This recognition provides nearly 1.7 million foreign language teachers in primary,middle,and high schools,as well as universities across the country,with a disciplinary identity and status that anchors their professional lives.The question of how to leverage this momentum to generate new ideas,open up new vistas,and usher in the future of foreign language education in China is a new mission and responsibility for our foreign language community.We need to delve deeply into its essence and autonomously create FLES that genuinely aligns with China’s national conditions,educational realities,and student needs,thereby nurturing outstanding foreign language talents.It is obligatory for us to remain true to our original aspirations,be present in the moment,and educate for the future,reinforcing the notion that“teaching ends with skills,but education permeates the soul.”In doing so,we can create a more efficient paradigm for fostering high-quality foreign language talents for our country.
