The Complementary Activities of Conservation,Research and Innovation--Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Dunhuang Academy

敦煌研究院至今已经走过了八十年风雨历程,敦煌研究院在文物保护、研究工作上所取得的成绩,无不表明敦煌研究院的科研人员是文物保护与研究的主体,保护与研究是相需相依、相辅相成的,是将敦煌研究院打造成世界文化遗产保护典范和敦煌学研究高地的必要条件。

The Dunhuang Academy has undergone 80 years of challenges and triumphs over its long history.All of the achievements it has obtained in the conservation and research of cultural heritage indicate that it is,in fact,the researchers of the academy themselves who constitute the primary force of cultural heritage.Conservation and research are interdependent and complementary,and act as necessary conditions for building the Dunhuang Academy into a model of world cultural heritage conservation and a hub for Dunhuang Studies research.
