The space-based missile warning satellite system is an important component of the US missile defense system,playing an indispensable role in safeguarding national strategic security.To gain an in-depth understanding of the latest developments in the transformation of the missile warning satellite system in response to emerging threats such as hypersonic weapons,the composition and capabilities of the US current missile warning satellite system are reviewed.The shortcomings of the existing system and the motivations for transformation are explained.The composition and advantages of the resilient missile warning and missile tracking system are summarized.The overall planning and latest progress are analyzed in detail.The development characteristics of the resilient missile warning(MW)and missile tracking(MT)system are discussed.The development implications are summarized from the system design,development modes,capability generation and other aspects.
