Currently, increasingly advanced medical imaging and ionizing radiation are being applied in clinical diagnosis and treatment.Among the many strategies proposed for radiation exposure management, education and training are particularly important for radiation protection and dose reduction. But research shows that medical workers generally lack basic knowledge of radiation protection. Therefore, how to conduct education and training on radiation protection is an important issue for large-scale comprehensive hospitals to explore and practice. This article analyzes the harm caused by ionizing radiation exposure to medical workers or patients, and then elaborates on the necessity of education and training for medical workers.Medical workers should receive knowledge training in radiation physics, radiation biology, radiation protection, and national laws and regulations related to radiation. In addition,in addition to the above topics, the education and training plan for radiation protection must also consider the needs and requirements of each medical profession. Therefore, this article also analyzes in detail the radiation related knowledge and education and training content that medical workers in various professions should possess, which will be of great significance for how to better do radiation protection in clinical practice.
