Based on the theory of everyday life,an analysis of the rehabilitation service project in Community X in Wuhan has revealed that in community rehabilitation services, the monitored bodily performance, the rigid clock time, and the marginalized living spaces constitute the real representation of the lack of subjectivity in individuals undergoing mental rehabilitation.Social workers focus on the daily life practices of these individuals, aiming for practice goals of empowerment,meaning-making,and value creation.Through strategies such as the reconstruction of bodily capital, writing rehabilitation narratives, space creation, and impression management, they reconstruct the bodily autonomy, temporal creativity, and spatial agency of the mental rehabilitation individuals. This facilitates their transition from passively receiving community rehabilitation services to actively controlling their life processes. In this case, social workers employ an action logic“oriented towards everyday life,”not only imbuing the group of mental rehabilitation individuals with vital energy but also injecting a“practical consciousness”into local social work.
