^(125)I seeds implantation for treating middle-late stage lung cancer in elderly patients:Efficacy and prospects

大部分初次确诊肺癌患者年龄较高。植入^(125)I粒子治疗肺癌具有瘤内高剂量、周围组织放射性损伤小的优势,尤其适用于不能耐受手术及外放射治疗的老年患者。本文就植入^(125)I粒子治疗老年患者中晚期肺癌效果与其未来展望进行综述。

Most patients with initial diagnosed lung cancer are at advanced ages.^(125)I seeds implantation for treating lung cancer has advantages of high intratumoral dose and low radiation damage to surrounding tissue,especially suitable for elderly patients not able to tolerate surgery nor external radiotherapy.The efficacy and prospects of^(125)I seeds implantation for treating middle-late stage lung cancer in elderly patients were reviewed in this article.
