“中国式现代化”英译传播的知识话语内涵

An analysis of knowledge and discourse in the English translation and communication of zhongguo shi xiandaihua(中国式现代化Chinese modernization)

语言的新陈代谢推动着社会思想的吐故纳新,而语言的翻译传播能够在异域催生新的知识建构与话语塑造,进而实现普遍性的思想联结。中国共产党第二十次全国代表大会提出了“中国式现代化”的新表述,其富含的知识话语内涵在相应的翻译传播中得到了彰显。以“中国式现代化”英译为例,首先,其在“知识的翻译”层面以反思“现代性”为基础,明确了自身的地方性知识身份,表达了参与世界性知识建构的意愿;其次,作为现代性的话语构成物,“中国式现代化”英译在“翻译的知识”维度为其他文明形态提供了表达自我现代化发展的话语范式,力图为人类命运共同体的世界性建构贡献话语力量。

The birth of new expression may promote the renewal of social thoughts,while its corresponding translation and communication can give rise to new knowledge construction and discourse shaping in foreign lands,thus realizing a uni-versal connection of ideas.The 2Oth National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward a new formulation of zhongguo shi xiandaihua(中国式现代化),and its rich connotation of knowledge and discourse has been highlighted in the corresponding translation and communication.Taking the English rendering of this expression as an example,firstly,based on the reflection of"modernity"in the level of"knowledge translation",it clarifies its local knowledge identity and expresses the willingness to participate in the construction of global knowledge.Secondly,as a discourse component of modernity,the English version in the dimension of"translated knowledge"provides a discourse paradigm for other civili-zations to express their self-modernization development,trying to contribute discourse power to the global construction of the human community with a shared future.
