Difficulties and Strategies for the Promotion of College Students’Cross-cultural Communication Competence

跨文化交际能力也称跨文化沟通能力,是指在多元文化背景下大学生能正确理解文化差异,掌握并运用有效的交际手段、恰当的交际方式,实现预期交际目标的能力。大学生是进行跨文化交际的重要群体,对当代大学生跨文化能力的培养是当前高等教育的一个重要任务。目前大学生跨文化交际能力提升面临的困境包括语言障碍、文化差异和人际关系等,当前大学生要在不同文化之间进行有效交流和沟通,需要学习跨文化知识,保持开放的心态,努力提升跨文化交际技能,培养文化主体意识,这些策略可以使大学生更好地理解不同文化的内涵,提升跨文化交际能力。

Cross-cultural communication competence,also known as intercultural communication competence,refers to the ability of college students to correctly understand cultural differences,master and use effective means and appropriate ways of communication,and to achieve the expected communicative goals under the multicultural background.College students are the main group in cross-cultural communication.It is an important task to cultivate the cross-cultural competence of contemporary college students.At present,the difficulties faced by college students in improving their intercultural communication competence include language barriers,cultural differences and interpersonal relationships,etc.To effectively communicate between different cultures,college students need to learn cross-cultural knowledge,keep an open mind,strive to improve cross-cultural communication skills,cultivate the consciousness of cultural subject and so on.These strategies can help college students better understand the connotation of different cultures and enhance cross-cultural communication skills.
