Objective:To explore the clinical effect of phacoemulsification(PHACO)combined with trabeculectomy(TRAB)in the treatment of elderly glaucoma(CLC)with Cataract(CAT).Method:A total of 90 elderly patients with GLC and CAT who received surgical treatment in our hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into observation group(n=45,treated with PHACO combined with TRAB)and control group(n=45,treated with TRAB)according to different surgical methods. The visual acuity, intraocular pressure, anterior chamber angle and anterior chamber depth of the two groups before and 1 month after operation were compared, and the complications of the two groups within 1 week after operation were recorded. Results:Compared with preoperative conditions, the intraocular pressure and anterior chamber angle decreased in both groups one month after surgery, while visual acuity and anterior chamber depth increased. The observation group showed more significant improvement, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in observation group(2/45,4.44%)was lower than that in control group(8/45,17.78%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of PHACO and TRAB treatment can improve vision, reduce intraocular pressure, improve anterior chamber angle and depth in elderly GLC patients with CAT,and has high safety.
