Classroom assessment aims to enable teachers to observe and assess students’learning performance in real time,in order to adjust teaching methods in time, and then promote students’learning and development. However, there are still some difficulties in the current classroom assessment of Chinese language in elementary schools, including limited evaluation content, insufficient reflection of learning process, and difficulty in implementing the student-centered concept.Through classroom observation, this paper analyzes and summarizes the artistic characteristics of classroom assessment of Wang Songzhou,a famous Chinese teacher,in the public class“Deep Motherly Affection”,including the art of language evaluation highlighting teachers’wisdom, the art of impromptu evaluation stimulating students’potential;the art of sentimental evaluation infiltrating students’hearts, the art of enlightening evaluation guiding students’thinking, the art of delayed evaluation deepening the text thinking, and the art of diversified evaluation respecting students’personality.Based on this, some enlightenment is drawn, that is,when elementary school Chinese teachers optimize their classroom assessment art, they should pay attention to exchanging feelings and creating the classroom atmosphere;pay attention to guidance, and grasp the rhythm of the classroom;respect students and pay attention to their thinking;and emphasizing impromptu evaluation, enhance students’confidence.
