改革开放以来,丁祖诒先生以民办教育事业为己任,不畏艰辛,开拓进取,在极其困难的条件下创造了生存的环境,用无私的奉献诠释了生命的价值。他把对教育的感悟经由心灵产生出的思想付诸创建全国著名的西安翻译学院,并取得了巨大成功。他所形成的教育理论、教育实践,以及产生的社会影响无愧于教育家称号。“教育家精神”是指具备教育家特质和品质的人所表现出来的一种精神状态和行为方式,它是教育工作者必备的素质之一,对于教育事业的发展和学生的成长起着重要的推动作用。弘扬教育家精神是教育战线应当坚守的一条主线,通过弘扬教育家精神,使更多的人热爱教育事业,干好教育事业。教育工作者应当为国家、为民族培养更多、更好的德智体美劳全面发展的社会主义建设者和接班人。

Since the reform and opening up,Mr.Ding Zuyi took the non-governmental education as his own duty,and forged ahead in facing the hardships and adversities.He created the environment to survive under extremely difficult conditions,and interpreted the value of life with his selfless dedication.He created the famous Xi’an FanYi University in China with his educational ideas coming from his inspiration in heart,and achieved great success.For his educational theory and practice,and his social influence,he was worthy of his honorary tittle“educationalist”.“The spirit of educationalist”refers to the mental attitude and behavior style manifested in the people who possess the characteristics and traits of true educators,and it is one of the qualities that all the education workers should possess.It plays a pivotal role for the development of the educational cause and the growth of the students.Carrying forward the spirit of educationalist is the main principle that the people who are engaged in education should adhere to.Through the promotion of this spirit,more people will love the cause of education and also do a good job in education.Educators should make great efforts to nurture the socialist builders and successors for our country who are developed in an all-round way in morality,intelligence,physical fitness,aesthetics,and labor.
