This article summarizes the research progress on the application of different forms of cellulose-based materials in mercury ion sensors,analyzes in depth their important roles in various sensing technologies such as colorimetry,fluorescence,and electrochemical sensing,and explores the challenges and future development prospects about application of cellulose-based materials in mercury ion detection.
