The construction of “New Medicine” serves as a vital engine to propel the further in-depth and high-quality development of modern medicine, bringing innovative opportunities and challenges to the field of medical education.Faced with issues such as the heavy workload of medical courses,a lack of diversity in students' knowledge structures, the need to enhance the interdisciplinary innovative abilities of teachers, and the imperfection of interdisciplinary talent cultivation mechanisms, based on its own strengths,Guangzhou Medical University adheres to a social demand-oriented approach, and is committed to reforming talent cultivation modes.By breaking down traditional disciplinary barriers,an integrated curriculum system based on organ systems was rebuilt.By constructing a “four-complete” “five-dimensional” practice-research dualchain joint training mode, students' practical and innovative abilities were promoted.By building a highlevel interdisciplinary platform,an interdisciplinary faculty team was formed, and the interdisciplinary talent cultivation mechanism was improved. With years of exploration and practice, certain effects were achieved in cultivating students' innovative abilities.
