We are all beneficiaries of AI technology.We need not resist new technology like the sages of old,but neither should we underestimate the agency of AI.A great amount of low-level clerical work has already been entrusted to ChatGPT,and the“summary reports”it rapidly produces are extremely comprehensive.It lacks clarity of purpose,however,for which the overall quality of its writing can only be considered average.The work done by Sora as well can only begin from the“resources”available to it.The artistic imagination and creative ability to“create something from nothing”of the human mind cannot be replaced.Education in creative writing is a highly effective means of unlocking the creative potential of the mind;it is also an important guarantee for the dignity of human consciousness in the ongoing battle between humans and machines.
