The article analyzes the definition,characteristics,and new requirements and challenges brought to the cultivation of English major talents in the context of new quality productivity.It focuses on exploring and innovating the talent cultivation model of applied higher education English major under the background of new quality productivity.At the same time,it analyzes the current talent cultivation strategies of applied university English majors in detail,revealing their challenges and shortcomings.Based on this,it proposes a series of innovative approaches for cultivating English major talents under the background of new quality productivity,including adjusting the curriculum structure to meet the diverse needs of the market,using innovative teaching methods to improve overall teaching effectiveness,building training bases for practical skills through cooperation between schools and enterprises,and implementing competition-promoting learning to enhance students'practical skills.This research offers forward-looking suggestions and prospects for the future training of English major talents in applied colleges,possessing significant practical significance and long-term value.
