On Regularity and Its Following of the Construction of Socialist Culture with Chinese Characteristics

党的二十届三中全会从完善和发展中国特色社会主义制度、推进中国特色社会主义事业不断发展进步的迫切要求和历史使命出发,对如何进一步全面深化改革、推进中国式现代化作了全面部署。全会通过的《中共中央关于进一步全面深化改革、推进中国式现代化的决定》聚焦建设社会主义文化强国,坚持马克思主义文化观,强调以马克思主义为指导推进中国特色社会主义文化建设的重要性。社会主义文化是中国迄今为止最先进的文化类型,以马克思主义为指导是其重要属性之一。中国特色社会主义文化是社会主义文化的新形态,以马克思主义为指导必然是其重要属性和思想灵魂。《决定》强调“必须增强文化自信,发展社会主义先进文化,弘扬革命文化,传承中华优秀传统文化”,突显了中国特色社会主义文化的整体性。对此,需要认识到,割裂中国特色社会主义文化的整体性,是形而上学在文化上的表现,往往导致文化复古主义和文化虚无主义。《决定》聚焦“提升国家文化软实力和中华文化影响力”,为增强中国特色社会主义文化在世界发展进程中的影响力和比较优势指明了方向。提高国家文化软实力,不仅关系中国特色社会主义事业的整体推进,也关系中华文化在世界文化整体格局中的定位和作用。以马克思主义为指导推进中国特色社会主义文化建设、科学把握中国特色社会主义文化的整体性、注重提升国家文化软实力和中华文化影响力,是中国共产党对中国特色社会主义文化建设规律的科学把握,是推动社会主义文化大发展大繁荣的实践原则,对坚定文化自信、保持中华民族精神独立性具有重大意义。

The third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC,starting from the urgent requirements and historical mission of improving and developing the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and promoting the continuous development and progress of socialism with Chinese characteristics,made a comprehensive deployment on how to further comprehensively deepen reform and promote Chinese path to modernization.The Decision passed at the plenary session focuses on building a socialist cultural power,adhering to the Marxist cultural concept,and emphasizing the importance of promoting the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics under the guidance of Marxism.Socialist culture is the most advanced cultural type to date in China,and guided by Marxism is one of its important attributes.The socialist culture with Chinese characteristics is a new form of socialist culture,and guided by Marxism is inevitably its important attribute and ideological soul.The Decision emphasizes the need to enhance cultural confidence,develop advanced socialist culture,promote revolutionary culture,inherit excellent traditional Chinese culture,and highlight the integrity of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.Separating the integrity of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics is a manifestation of metaphysics in culture,often leading to cultural revivalism and cultural nihilism.The Decision focuses on“enhancing the country’s cultural soft power and the influence of Chinese culture”,pointing out the direction for enhancing the influence and comparative advantage of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics in the world development process.Improving the country’s cultural soft power is not only related to the overall promotion of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics,but also to the positioning and role of Chinese culture in the global cultural landscape.
