With the rapid development of market economy and the promotion of global marketization,association standards are playing an increasingly important role in many industries.To better promote the standardization work,this paper summarizes the definition,classification and characteristics of association standards,further discusses the core elements and challenges in the process of association standards development,shows how association standards actually lead industrial development,promote technological innovation,and enhance industry competitiveness through case study,and puts forward suggestions for the strategies of strengthening association standards development and implementation.
