摘要
3GPP R17 RedCap标准于2022年6月冻结,RedCap通过减少带宽、减少MIMO层数以及放宽下行链路调制阶数等技术手段,旨在降低5G设备的复杂性和成本,从而使得5G技术能够更广泛地应用于垂直行业。到2025年,全国县级以上城市实现5G RedCap规模覆盖,5G RedCap连接数实现千万级增长。但面向电力等行业的RedCap应用,存在场景需求碎片化的特点。精简化5G芯片遵循3GPP RedCap标准协议,同时针对行业应用需求,对行业定制化功能、性能进行增强。本文从行业用5G终端芯片的角度,调研面向电力、视频行业的应用需求,研究精简化5G终端芯片平台的技术要求并进行标准制定,从而指导精简化5G终端芯片的研发,促进5G行业应用的规模化发展。
The 3GPP R17 RedCap standard has been frozen in June 2022.RedCap aims to reduce the complexity and cost of 5G devices by reducing bandwidth,reducing the number of MIMO layers,and relaxing the modulation order of downlink,so that 5G technology can be more widely used in vertical industries.By 2025,cities above the county level in China will achieve 5G RedCap coverage,and the number of 5G RedCap connections will grow by tens of millions.5G applications for power industry and other industries have the characteristics of small size and fragmentation in a single scene.This paper starts from the perspective of using 5G terminal chips in the business refines and simplifies the general technical requirements of 5G chip platform to develop standards,guides the research and development of refined 5G terminal chips,and promotes the large-scale development of 5G industry applications.
