The close coordination between population flow and industrial development has brought about great economic benefits such as demographic dividend since the reform and opening-up.With the improvement of China’s urbanization rate,the longitudinal population flow will become an important driving force for the high-quality development of urban economy,and it will also become an important manifestation and demographic characteristics of the high-quality development of cities.In the process of China’s social modernization,the interaction mechanism between the longitudinal population flow and the urban high-quality development has been significantly enhanced.Therefore,in order to promote the urban high-quality development,we should promote the longitudinal population flow,unblock the social upflow channel,increase the average number of years of education for urban laborers,promote the overall vocational education to improve the matching between human capital and industry,and constantly optimize the institutional support for the longitudinal population flow.The longitudinal flow of urban population can promote the large-scale expansion of middle-income groups and the significant improvement of economic and social status,so as to fulfill the common prosperity of urban high-quality development.
