On Thought Rhetoric

“思想修辞”,作为一个原创性概念,受到中西方“修辞学转向”的启发与影响,并在出现时段上与其有所重合,但又有自己的思考路径与内在逻辑。它试图在语言修辞之外探讨一种思想层面上更为广义的修辞现象。所谓“思想修辞”,就是运用修辞的方法、手段来进行思维和思考,或是在思想、思维过程中带有修辞的痕迹和影响,凡具有这些特征的思维活动,皆可称之为“思想修辞”。“思想修辞”研究,就是要探讨修辞如何在思想、思维层面产生、存在并发生作用。这一命题产生的本身,就是一种“思想修辞”的结果。在此,核心概念与思维方式同时诞生,命题与方法互为因果。思想修辞是一种“隐性修辞”,渗透、贯穿于一个个创新思维的过程之中,有极大的研究空间。思想修辞还注重理论研究的技术维度,有较强的实践品格和可操作性。研究思想修辞,提出核心概念固然重要,但更为要紧的是要像语言修辞有自己的“修辞格”一样,确立自己独立的研究范畴。将“思想修辞”置于学界“修辞学转向”这一大系统中进行观照,或有启发与新意,成为一个新的学术增长点。

“Thought rhetoric”,as an original concept,is inspired and influenced by the“rhetoric turn”in China and the West.It coincides with the turn in the period of its emergence,but it has its own thinking path and internal logic.It attempts to explore a more general rhetorical phenomenon on the ideological level besides language rhetoric.The so-called“thought rhetoric”refers to the use of rhetorical methods and means to think and ponder over,or there are traces and influences of rhetoric in the process of thinking.Any thinking activity with these characteristics can be called“thought rhetoric”.The aim of“thought rhetoric”research is to explore how rhetoric produces,exists and functions at the level of thought and thinking.The thought itself is the result of a kind of“thought rhetoric”.Here,the core concept and thinking mode are born at the same time,and proposition and method are mutually causal.Thought rhetoric is an implicit rhetoric that permeates and runs through various processes of innovative thinking,providing plenty space of research.Thought rhetoric also pays attention to the technical dimension of theoretical research,with strong practical character and operation,It is of course important to study ideology and rhetoric,put forward and clarify the concept of the whole,but what is more important is to establish the research category of"thought rhetoric"just as language rhetoric has its own“figure of speech”,Reflecting the small system of“thought rhetoric”in the large context of“rhetoric turn”in the academic circle may be enlightening and innovative,and become a new academic growth point.
