Open innovation experiment is an important teaching method for the cultivation of innovative interdisciplinary talents.Based on thinking training, the authors established an online-offline blended teaching mode of“One virtuality, one reality, three stages, and seven steps”for the comprehensive open innovation experimental course of basic medical science. The teaching mode is composed of“virtual experiments+physical experiments”,three stages(pre-class,in-class and after-class),and seven steps(pre-class guidance, mutual learning among groups, oral presentation, ideological and political education,in-class testing, questions and reflection, and participation in competition).Supplemented by teachers’guidance, this comprehensive cultivation mode puts emphasis on students’independent study, integrating knowledge of“basic medicine+scientific research+clinical medicine”.This mode makes up for the typical weaknesses of traditional experimental teaching:monotonous content, insufficient training of scientific innovative thinking, lack of initiative, etc. The course reform aims to increase the learner agency, experientiality, innovativeness, and inquisitiveness in the students,so that they can apply interdisciplinary knowledge autonomously, laying a solid foundation for their future work in clinical practice and scientific research teams.
