This paper introduces the traditional steel pipe pier form,and introduces the new interpolated pillar form from two aspects of structural form and force transfer mechanism.Through the calculation and analysis of practical engineering cases and the comparison of specifications,it is verified that the column foot connection mode is easy to construction,low cost and good seismic performance,and has high economic and engineering value.
