语言服务产业对区域经济高质量发展的影响研究--基于语言服务产业指数的实证分析

The Role of the Language Services Industry in High-Quality Regional Economic Development:An Empirical Analysis Based on the Language Services Industry Index

基于固定效应与工具变量模型,以2005—2019年264个地级市为研究样本,采用全国工商企业注册信息构建语言服务产业指数,对语言服务促进区域经济高质量发展的效应和机制进行实证研究。结果表明:语言服务的发展显著促进了区域经济高质量发展,主要体现在创新和开放两大维度,且对市场化程度、教育投入与服务业比重更高的地区以及东部地区影响更大。机制分析指出:语言服务通过提高创新水平、扩大对外贸易和吸引海外人才三条路径推动区域经济高质量发展。鉴于此,应调整优化语言服务产业结构,创新语言人才培养模式,实施区域化、个性化与差异化的语言服务发展战略。

Based on fixed effects and instrumental variable models,this study uses a sample of 264 prefecture-level cities from 2005 to 2019 and constructs a language service industry index using national business registration information.The study empirically investigates the effects and mechanisms of language services on promoting regional economic high-quality development.The results indicate that the development of language services significantly promotes high-quality regional economic development,primarily reflected in the dimensions of innovation and openness.The impact is more pronounced in regions with higher levels of marketization,education investment,and a greater proportion of the service industry,as well as in eastern region.Mechanism analysis reveals that language services drive high-quality regional economic development through three pathways:enhancing innovation,expanding foreign trade,and attracting overseas talent.Therefore,it is essential to optimize the structure of the language service industry,innovate language talent training models,and implement regionalized,personalized,and differentiated language service development strategies.
