省会城市首位度对区域经济高质量发展的影响研究——基于空间溢出效应的实证分析

Research on the Influence of Provincial Capital Primacy onthe High-Quality Development of Regional Economies:Based on the Decomposition AnalysisPerspective of Spatial Spillover Effect

省会城市首位度与区域经济高质量发展密切相关,通过提高省会城市的辐射力,可以实现全省区域经济高质量发展。以2008—2021年中国26个省市的面板数据为样本,通过建立双向固定效应模型与空间面板杜宾模型,探究了省会城市首位度对区域经济产生的增长效应与空间溢出效应。研究发现:省会城市首位度与区域经济发展存在显著非线性关联。在东部、中部和西部地区这种关系呈现倒U型特征;而在东北地区,则表现为线性关系。机制检验表明:省会城市首位度可以通过推动产业结构升级,进而促进区域经济高质量发展。此外,空间检验揭示了省会城市首位度对邻近地区区域经济发展具有显著的空间依赖性和正向空间溢出效应。基于此,建议结合各省实际情况,增强省会城市首位度,并积极进行产业结构升级,以促进本省及邻近省份的协同发展,实现区域经济高质量发展。

The primacy of provincial capitals is closely related to the high-quality development of the regional economy,and the high-quality development of the provincial regional economy can be achieved by improving the leading and radiating power of provincial capitals.Using the panel data of 26 provinces and cities in China from 2008 to 2021,the impact of the primacy of provincial capitals on the high-quality development of regional economy is examined.By setting up a two-way fixed effects model and a spatial panel Durbin model,we analyze the growth and spatial spillovers of the regional economy under the influence of provincial capital primacy.The study finds that there is a significant non-linear correlation between provincial capital primacy and regional economic development.Specifically,the relationship shows an inverted U-shape in the eastern,central and western regions,while the relationship is linear in the northeastern region.The mechanism test shows that the primacy of provincial capitals can promote the upgrading of industrial structure,and then promote the high-quality development of the regional economy.In addition,the spatial test shows the significant spatial dependence and positive spatial spillover effect of the primacy of provincial capitals on the regional economic development of neighboring regions.Therefore,it is recommended to strengthen the primacy of capital cities and actively upgrade the industrial structure in the light of the actual situation of each province,so as to promote the synergetic development of the province and neighboring provinces,and achieve the high-quality development of the regional economy.
