China is establishing a sound carbon emission trading system gradually,which has a positive effect on regional sustainable development in the aspects of economy,environment and society.The carbon emission trading system encourages enterprises to reduce carbon emissions through market mechanisms,thereby promoting industrial restructuring,transforming economic growth patterns,reducing greenhouse gas emission and improving environmental quality.In addition,the carbon emission trading system plays a positive role in building a fair and equitable social environment and raising public awareness of environmental protection.Overall,the carbon emission trading system is an important policy tool to promote regional sustainable development,with broad development prospects and profound social impacts.
