正续《一切经音义》繁征博引,保留了大量珍贵的文献资料。玄应《一切经音义》征引古籍300余种,慧琳《一切经音义》征引古籍700余种,希麟《续一切经音义》征引古籍亦逾百种。三书所引文献上至经部《周易》《尚书》,下迄本朝颜师古《字样》、玄宗《孝经注》等。本文利用常见精校的《山海经》版本,与正续《一切经音义》所见《山海经》文本进行对勘,校正了传世诸本《山海经》部分文献讹误。
