On Transformation of the Spiritual Life Paradigm in Modern Chinese Civilization

置身人类文明的历史情境之中,某种文明形态形成并得以持存,最终要靠它能为人的精神生活提供规范性指引,以使人能够在此世“安心”“立命”。中华民族现代文明也同样肩负着这一使命,并在新的起点上为现代中国人提供一种新的精神生活范式。要创造这种新范式,绕不开的是同属于现代文明体系的资本现代性文明及其精神生活的内在矛盾,这构成了它的独特时代语境。通过重赋生活意义,设定并回答人之存在的根本性议题,阻止现代精神生活继续滑向物化、虚无深渊,从而实现精神上的独立自主,这是形成中华民族现代文明的精神生活范式的第一步,昂扬向上的社会风貌和理性平和的心态也由此形成。推动人向自身同时也是向社会的、向合乎人性的人的复归,成为中华民族现代文明推动精神生活的范式变革的关键环节,并在生产性条件、规范价值和制度基础、审美旨趣等三个方面做出开创性探索。变革的目的在于它使“精神富有”成为中华民族现代文明的显著标志,也是其文化自信自强的鲜明表达。

In the historical context of human civilization,the formation and survival of a certain form of civilization ul-timately rely on its ability to provide normative guidance for human spiritual life,so that people can"rest assured"and"establish themselves"in this world.The modern civilization of the Chinese nation also shoulders this mission and provides a new spiritual life paradigm for modern Chinese people at a new starting point.To create this new paradigm,we cannot avoid the inherent contradictions between the capitalist modernity civilization and its spiritual life,which belongs to the same modern civilization system.This constitutes its unique historical context.By redefining the meaning of life,setting and answering fundamental questions about human existence,preventing modern spiritual life from continuing to slide into the abyss of materialization and emptiness,and thus achieving spiritual independence and autonomy,this is the first step in forming the spiritual life paradigm of modern Chinese civilization,and the formation of an uplifting social style and a ration-al and peaceful mentality.Promoting the return of people to both themselves and society,has become a key link in the par-adigm transformation of modern Chinese civilization in promoting spiritual life,and has made pioneering explorations in three aspects:productive conditions,normative values and institutional foundations,and aesthetic interests.The purpose of this transformation is to make"spiritual wealth"a prominent symbol of modern Chinese civilization and a clear expression of its cultural confidence and self-improvement.
