During the Republican era in Shanghai,against the backdrop of industrialization and urbanization,numerous urban family publications emerged with the rise of new urban families.These publications played a crucial role in shaping urban family culture,fully absorbing and drawing inspiration from foreign ideological resources.The successful operational model of European and American family publications and their widespread dissemination in Shanghai provided a valuable reference for the city’s editorial community.Shanghai’s family publications borrowed and absorbed the experiences of Western publications in advertising strategies,editorial layout,content translation,and family concepts.The integration of Eastern and Western family publications,through the reshaping of urban family daily life perspectives,actively contributed to the modernity transformation in Republican-era Shanghai.
