Experience of Professor Zhang Huailiang in Treating Meniere′s Disease

梅尼埃病属于发作性前庭综合征,痰饮是该病最重要的病理因素,痰饮的形成与肝、脾、肾密切相关,结合经络循行及三焦的形态与功能,提出少阳失和、三焦不畅是急性期病机关键。基于上述认识,以宣畅少阳,通利三焦,化痰活血为梅尼埃病急性期治疗大法,临床常以小柴胡汤、温胆汤、泽泻汤等加减化裁,并重用姜半夏、泽泻、仙鹤草等药。“治疗之要,贵在调整,自力更生,更为重要。”故以治病求本、调整脏腑功能为缓解期的基本治法,以防疾病反复发作,并配合心理疏导和饮食调护等,多管齐下。

Meniere′s disease belongs to episodic vestibular syndrome,and Phlegm is the most important pathological factor of the disease.The formation of Phlegm is closely related to the Liver,Spleen and Kidney.Combined with the meridian circulation and the morphology and function of the Three Jiao,it is proposed that the Shaoyang disharmony and the poor Qi flow of the Three Jiao are the key to the pathogenesis in the acute stage.Based on the above understanding,dispersing Shaoyang,dredging Three Jiao as well as dissipating Phlegm and promoting blood activation are the major methods for the treatment of acute Meniere′s disease.In clinical practice,modified Xiao Chaihu Decoction,Wendan Decoction,Zexie Decoction are often used.In addition,Jiangbanxia(processed Pinellia with Ginger),Zexie(rhizoma alismatis),Xianhecao(hairyvein agrimony)and other medicines are used with large doses."The key to treatment is reasonable adjustment and self-recovery is more important."Therefore,the basic treatment method is to treat the cause of the disease by adjusting the function of the Zang and Fu as the basic treatment during the remission period of the disease,to prevent the recurrence of the disease.In addition,psychological counseling and dietary care,etc.are also quite important in treatment of the disease.
