An Analysis of Thought of Clean Government in Early Jin Dynasty

金朝廉政思想并非全部源于中原文化的输入,女真传统民族文化中就具有原生的廉政文化因素。从始祖开始,女真社会就已存在爱民重农的仁政思想、知人善任的用人思想、统一条教的法制思想和广延大议的共议思想。这些思想既是女真社会发展变化的客观结果,又是推动生女真部落联盟勃兴壮大、建立国家,并最终亡辽灭宋的重要条件。熙宗改制后,女真传统廉政思想与中原廉政文化糅合,随着廉政制度的逐渐完善继续发挥作用。

The thought of clean government in the Jin Dynasty did not solely originate from the cultural input of the Central Plains,rather,it contains intrinsic elements from the Jurchen's traditional culture.Starting with their founding ancestors,the Jurchen society already demonstrated benevolent governance principles emphasizing care for the people and agriculture,a meritocratic approach to staffing,legal thought promoting order,and the philosophy of communal governance.These ideas were both a natural result of the social evolution within Jurchen society and the vital conditions for the rise of the Jurchen tribal alliance,the establishment of a state,and ultimately the defeat of the Liao and Song Dynasties.After Emperor Xizong's reforms,the traditional thoughts of clean government of the Jurchen blended with those from the Central Plains,continuing to exert influence as the system of clean government was gradually refined.
