克利夫兰公共图书馆儿童服务与协同育人的经验及启示

摘要 一个城市的公共教育系统不仅仅指学校,也包括数量众多的公共图书馆。作为社会教育资源的重要组成部分,公共图书馆在与家庭和学校协同育人方面发挥着重要作用。美国公共图书馆已有一百多年的发展历史,其为儿童提供服务的历史能为我国提供可借鉴的经验。作为美国公共图书馆提供儿童服务的先驱,克利夫兰公共图书馆在为不同儿童群体提供个性化学习帮助的同时,也为克利夫兰市的公共教育和公民培养作出了独特贡献。分析克利夫兰公共图书馆开展儿童服务的历史,有助于深化我国对公共图书馆社会教育功能的认识,挖掘公共图书馆在与家庭和学校协同育人方面的重要意义。 A city's public education system consists not only of schools,but also a large number of public libraries.As the core component of social education resources,public library plays an important role in coordinating with family education and school education.The construction of American public library has a history of more than one hundred years,and its historical process of serving children provides us with rich experience for reference.Cleveland Public Library is a pioneer in providing children services in public libraries in the United States.While providing personalized learning assistance to different groups of children,Cleveland Public Library has also made unique contribution to public education and civic training in Cleveland City.Through the historical analysis of children services in Cleveland Public Library,it is helpful to deepen our understanding of the social education function of public library and explore the significance of public library in educating people with families and schools.
