This paper introduces the changes of productive relations brought about by new quality productive forces,and focuses on the role of new quality productive forces in the sustainable protection of ancient book and the challenges brought about by it to the current work of ancient books protection.This paper lists the relevant work that has been carried out and the results achieved in the field of ancient books protection to meet the challenges of new quality productive forces to ancient books protection,points out the key issues that may affect the effectiveness of new quality productive forces in the field of ancient books protection,namely the lack of coordination between science and technology and management strategies,and puts forward the main measures to solve the problem.
