摘要
结合明清数学翻译实践,发现翻译都关涉“知识”这一论题,翻译既译入知识,也服务于知识的自身发展。不仅在内容方面展现出翻译的知识性,而且在知识传播、再生产和发展等方面也体现出知识的翻译性。翻译的知识性具体表现在创立数学术语与学科体系的丰富、引入数学思想与知识体系的构建、出版数学著作与知识话语的传播等方面;知识的翻译性则呈现出跨文化的知识交流与传播、拓展知识再生产与创新路径、构建学术共同体和公共话语空间等形态。探赜翻译的知识性与知识的翻译性,有利于促进翻译研究和知识探究的交叉融合,并针对翻译与知识的关系及相关问题展开深入系统的研究。
Studying the translation of mathematical works during the Ming and Qing dynasties reveals that translation is deeply intertwined with“knowledge”;it not only transfers knowledge but also serves the development of knowledge.The knowledge aspect of translation is evident not only in its content but also in its role in the dissemination,reproduction,and development of knowledge.Specifically,its knowledge aspect is manifested in the establishment of rich mathematical terminologies and disciplinary systems,the introduction and construction of mathematical thoughts and knowledge frameworks,and the publication and spreading of mathematical works and knowledge discourses.The translational aspect of knowledge is manifested in cross-cultural knowledge exchange and dissemination,extending paths for knowledge reproduction and innovation,and building academic communities and public discourses.Exploring both the knowledge aspect of translation and the translational aspect of knowledge promotes the integration of translation studies with knowledge exploration,and encourages in-depth and systematic research into the relationship between translation and knowledge,as well as related issues.
