Research progress of ferroptosis in tumor treatment

铁死亡是一种与铁积累和脂质过氧化有关的活性氧依赖性新型细胞死亡,主要由多不饱和脂肪酸的磷脂过氧化引起。铁死亡在肿瘤发生和发展过程中亦发挥重要作用,铁诱导细胞死亡的肿瘤治疗方法正在被积极探索,基于铁死亡的治疗策略可能是一种潜在的新型肿瘤治疗方法。此外,铁死亡相关基因对于肿瘤预后也具有预测价值。本文旨在综述近年来铁死亡在肿瘤治疗中的研究进展,以及铁死亡相关分子在肿瘤预后中的临床意义,并展望铁死亡在未来肿瘤治疗中的临床应用价值。

Ferroptosis is a new form of reactive oxygen species dependent cell death associated with iron accumulation and lipid peroxidation.It is mainly caused by phospholipid peroxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids.Ferroptosis also plays an important role in the occurrence and development of tumors.Currently,there have been multiple studies on the development of new anticancer strategies based on ferroptosis,and the strategy based on ferroptosis may be a potential new type of tumor treatment method.In addition,ferroptosis-related genes also have predictive value for tumor prognosis.This review focuses on the research progress of ferroptosis in tumor treatment and the clinical significance of ferroptosis-related genes in tumor prognosis.It also looks forward to the clinical application value of ferroptosis in tumor treatment.
