文明互鉴:一种创造当代文明的行为——“儒学与文明多样性”学术研讨会述评

Inter-Civilizational Communication:An Act of Creating Civilizations:A Review of the Academic Symposium on“Confucianism and the Diversity of Civilizations”

2023年10月28日—29日,由国际儒学联合会与华东师范大学主办、华东师范大学文明互鉴研究中心承办的“儒学与文明多样性”学术研讨会在上海举行。召开此次研讨会的深层关怀,最终指向的是对人类命运应该走向何方的这一哲学关切。此次研讨会的内容可整合为三部分予以述评,即:文明互鉴之思考方向:一种人类共同文明的建构共识;文明互鉴之对象:文明“相遇”中的哲学论题;文明互鉴之基础:中西经典新诠。此次研讨会的主题“儒学与文明多样性”内蕴着这样一个前提,即将儒学视为一种活着的文明,而非博物馆中尘封的历史文物;据此,文明互鉴的本质,就是一种创造当代文明的行为,而这既是就思想史长河中的那些文明相遇中参与者的言行而言,更是就此次参会学者的当代学术工作而言。

On October 28 and 29,2023,the academic symposium on“Confucianism and the Diversity of Civilizations”,hosted by the International Confucian Association and East China Normal University,and organized by the Inter Civilizations Institute of the Department of Philosophy of the East China Normal University,was held in Shanghai.The deep concern that led to the convening of this symposium ultimately points to this philosophical concern about where the destiny of mankind should go.The highlights of this symposium can be summarized into three parts,the direction of thinking about inter-civilizational communication:a consensus on the construction of human common civilization;the object of inter-civilizational communication:the philosophical topic in“encounter”of civilizations;the foundation of inter-civilizational communication:a new interpretation of Chinese and Western classics.Through the review of the conference,it can be found that the theme of the symposium,“Confucianism and the Diversity of Civilizations”,has such a premise,that Confucianism is a living civilization,not a historical relic in a museum.
