Mterial selection and heat treatment process in mechanical design are very important for product performance and life.Material selection involves many factors,including mechanical properties,corrosion resistance,temperature and environmental conditions,cost and manufacturing process.Heat treatment process directly affects the microstructure and mechanical properties of the material,which is very important to improve the hardness,strength,toughness and wear resistance of the material.In mechanical design,material selection must first take into account the use of the product environment and functional needs.In addition,the manufacturing cost and processability should be taken into account to avoid high production cost or difficult processing due to material selection.In general,material selection and heat treatment process in mechanical design are complementary.
