Objective To explore the actualities of cancer-related anorexia and influencing factors in young and middle-aged patients with gynecological cancer(GC).Methods Questionnaire surveys were conducted using general information questionnaire,Cancer Anorexia Scale(CAS),the Chemotherapyi nduced Taste Alteration Scale(CITAS),Demora lization Scle-mandarin version,(DS-MV),and Family Adaption,Partnership,Growth,Affection, and Resolve in 269 young and middle-aged GC patients. Results Single factor analysis showed that the older the patients were the lower the score on the CAS,the CAS scores were lower in patients without fixed caregiver than ones with caregivers of nursing assistant, family members or relatives and friends(P<0.01).The CAS scores of young and middle-aged GC patients were negatively related to the CITAS and DS-MV score(P<0.05)and positively to APGAR(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, main caregiver as well as CITAS,DS-MV and APGAR score were influencing factors of cancer-related anorexia in young and middle-aged GC patients(P<0.05 or 0.01).Conclusion Factors influencing the occurrence of cancerrelated anorexia are age, main caregiver, taste alteration induced by chemotherapy, demoralization level, and family function.Patients should be assessed as early as possible and actively intervened to improve cancer-related anorexia.
