县域公共图书馆阅读供给对居民阅读需求的多重中介效应研究——以安徽省县域公共图书馆面板数据为例

Research on the Multiple Mediating Effects of Reading Supply in County Public Libraries on Residents'Reading Demand:A Case Study of the Panel Data of County-Level Public Libraries in Anhui Province

县域公共图书馆作为城乡知识与信息传播的重要枢纽,研究其内部服务供给通过何种渠道有效满足城乡居民的阅读需求,是破解城乡公共阅读服务精准供给的有效途径。以安徽省县域公共图书馆面板数据为例,通过结构方程模型(SEM)和多层次线性模型(HLM)等方法分析县域公共图书馆阅读供给与城乡居民阅读需求的多重中介效应。研究结果表明,公共图书馆阅读供给主要通过“为读者举办各种活动次数”“累计发放借书证数”等多种中介变量显著影响城乡居民的阅读需求,且在不同县域受基础阅读需求、图书馆活动次数以及经济水平等多重因素影响,城乡居民阅读需求存在明显差异。

As an important hub of urban and rural knowledge and information dissemination,it is an effective way to solve the accurate supply of urban and rural public reading services by studying the channels through which their internal service supply can effectively meet the reading needs of urban and rural residents.Using panel data from county public libraries in Anhui,this study employs Structural Equation Modeling(SEM)and Hierarchical Linear Modeling(HLM)to analyze the multiple mediation effects of library service provision and urban and rural residents'reading needs.The results show that public library provision significantly impacts urban and rural residents'reading needs through various mediating variables,such as the number of activities organized for readers and the cumulative number of library cards issued.Furthermore,due to the factors such as basic reading needs,the frequency of library activities,and economic levels,there are significant differences in urban and rural residents'reading needs across different counties.
