摘要
本研究借助自然语言处理工具比较了广州初中学生使用的沪教版英语教材与中考阅读文本在易读度和易读度主成分两个模块共11项指标上的差异。研究发现:(1)沪教版初中英语教材阅读文本的难度梯度不明显,教材易读度显著高于广州中考;(2)指称衔接和深度衔接是影响教材和中考阅读文本易读度差异的主要因素,句法简约性、动词衔接和时序性也有一定的影响;(3)教材和中考阅读文本在易读度主成分上的差异不尽一致,文本易读度具有复杂性。研究结果有望为提升教材编写的科学化和教学教研的信息化提供数据支持和实证参考。
This study utilizes the natural language processing tool to compare the differences in readability and readability principal components across 11 indicators between junior high school English textbooks and entrance exam reading texts in Guangzhou.The findings are as follows:(1)The difficulty gradient of reading texts in the Shanghai Edition junior high school English textbooks is not apparent,and the readability of the textbooks is significantly higher than that of the Guangzhou entrance exams;(2)Referential cohesion and deep cohesion are the main factors affecting the readability differences between the textbooks and the entrance exam reading texts,with syntactic simplicity,verb cohesion,and temporality also having some impact;(3)The differences in readability principal components between the textbooks and the entrance exam reading texts are not entirely consistent,indicating the complexity of text readability.The results of this study are expected to provide data support and empirical references for enhancing the scientific nature of textbook compilation and the informatization of teaching and research.
