Su Shi composes 106 series of itinerary-recording poems,which show the distinctively personal characteristics in terms of textual form,content expression,and stylistic feature.These poems mainly record the individual events between trips,frequently recounting his excursions and socializing except the record of his itinerary.Influenced by the reasoning tendency of the Song poetry,Su Shi often expresses his feelings and profound philosophies of life in his itinerary-recording poems.In addition,his such poems not only break through the focus of the similar traditional poems on the individual poet,but also achieve the compatibility of such four elements as"feeling","scene","event",and"reasoning",opening up a new path for the creation of the series of itinerary-recording poems in the Tang and Song Dynasties.
